Why our clients come to Leo's Painting

"Leo Valencia completed many jobs for me last summer and fall, which included both outside and inside my home. We found him to be very professional and neat in all his work. I also recommended him to several friends and they too were very pleased. I would be happy to hire him again."

"In 2008, we contracted Leo’s Painting, Inc. of Hamden, CT to apint the exterior of our home. We were impressed with their work on other houses in our neighborhood.  Owner Leo Valencia met with us one evening to discuss our plans and to explain how he would prepare prime, and paint our 1940 Cape Cod-style house and garage.  We were impressed with his careful description of how he would ensure a high-quality paint job.  We accepted his written estimate and proposed schedule a few days later.

Leo and his crew were very professional and pleasant, always arriving on time and coordinating their work efficiently.  Each day, Leo reviewed his progress with us and kept the project on schedule and on budget.  He and his crew were very respectful of our home and yard, doing a great paint job while also minimizing noise and disruption as much as possible.  At the end of each day, they thoroughly packed up their equipment and cleaned up their work area.

We are happy to recommend Leo’s Painting to area home owners seeking a careful, considerate, and professional painting contractor. "

"Our condominium unit in the historic 1832 Federalist building on Wooster Square at Chapel Street and Wooster Place had interior paintwork done by Leo’s Painting. Mr. Leo Valencia, owner and master painter, took personal charge of the extensive restoration, preparation, and painting of bedrooms, bathrooms, steep staircases and a totally re-imagined basement area.

The walls were in terrible condition. There was extensive damage: pitting, water-stains, nail and screw holes, and irregular and drippy paint from a former shoddy painting contractor. Mr. Valencia brought all the walls to a silky finish, scraping, sanding, plastering and sanding again until he was satisfied that the paint would adhere and show its best feature. He took on the repair and restoration of vintage crown-molding and inlay-work.
His brush and roller work was flawless: perfect cuts, no brush marks, no smearing, and all crown- molding, baseboards and period details were restored, sanded and painted so that they looked brand- new.

Mr. Valencia was prompt, responsive, efficient and extremely clean: all dust and debris were removed at the end of each workday. His projections of paint quantity and time for the work to be done were accurate. He also advised us on paint types and manufacturers, and we were very satisfied with our informed choices and his input. Mr. Valencia has an established reputation with many paint supply stores, and at our particular store, Painters Supply on Whitney, in Hamden, when we mentioned that we were working with Mr. Valencia, the owner told us, “Great! He’s the best.” We could not agree more.
On viewing the finished work in our unit, our condominium manager has stated that he wants Leo’s Painting, Inc. to paint his particular unit, the entrance hallways to the building, and power-wash, prepare, and paint the exterior of the entire building itself.
We recommend l.,eo’s Painting, Inc. unreservedly if you are interested in a professional, timely, affordable masterly paint-j ob at your home, inside, or out."
